2015 Sock Monkey Trekkers Adventures

We love to travel, but our hometown of Los Alamos, New Mexico also offers beautiful
views and dozens of hiking trails and three nearby national parks/monuments
I thought about writing a year in review after reading so many other blogs, but thought maybe not since we are only part-timers and don't have as many adventures to share. Friends always tell me that we seem to have more trips and adventures than anyone else they know. I decided to make a list. Wowzers! We went a lot of places in 2015. So, I guess a 2015 wrap-up would be appropriate. Links are to the original posts in case you missed one.

Blogger Meet-ups
We had our first blogger meet up in 2014 when we got the chance to hike and eat with Amanda and Tim of Watsons Wander. This year, we went to our first blogger/fulltimer gathering at the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta. It was the first convergence for Xscapers. We met a number of bloggers who we have followed including Wheeling ItTechnomadiaRV WanderlustDrive, Dive DevourRolling RecessThe Roaming PintThe Kuhl OdysseyRV OutlawzWanderWasiRolling Under the StarsThisawayz and Thatawayz. We also drove to Abiquiu Lake to meet and chat with Evie and her mom (Joy). Before the Balloon Fiesta we went to Santa Fe to have dinner with Brittany & Eric of RV Wanderlust. We camped next to Rolling with Grass and met Kate and her dogs at Elephant Butte and chatted with Lynne of Winnie Views at Bosque del Apache where she was volunteering.

It was an adventure filled year and we can't wait to see where all we go and who we meet in 2016!
